Dr. Jinqiang Cui

Dr. Jinqiang Cui is currently a senior researcher in Peng Cheng Laboratory, working on SLAM, 3D reconstruction, intelligent multi-robots systems, etc. He received the B.E. and M.Sc. degree in mechatronic engineering from Northwestern Polytechnical University in 2005 and 2008 respectively. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering in National University of Singapore in 2015. He has worked as a sensor design engineer in HSG-IMIT in Germany from 2008 to 2010 and served as the chief technology officer for a UAV startup company from 2016 to 2019.

Dr. Yulong Ding

Dr. Yulong Ding is a Postdoctoral Fellow in Peng Cheng Laboratory, Shenzhen. He obtained his master degree in computer technology (2015) from Xiamen University and received his Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2020 under the supervision of Professor Jie Chen. In 2018-2019, he was a joint-training PhD of Chinese University of Hong Kong under the supervision of Professor Ben M. Chen. His research interests include UAV-UGV collaborative systems, heterogeneous multi-agent systems, and task planning of multirobot systems. Dr. Ding have published 16 academic papers, including 3 papers published in the top journals. His paper received the journal of Control Theory and Technology 2020 Best Paper Award.

Dr. Ding is currently responsible for one project from China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and participated in a number of China Natural Science Foundation and 973 projects during doctor's degrees. He received the prestigious "national postdoctoral program for innovative talent" award in 2020.

Dr. Hao Fang

Hao Fang received Ph.D. degrees from Xi'an Jiaotong University in 2002. He held two Post-Doctoral appointments at the INRIA/France Research Group of COPRIN and the LASMEA (UNR6602 CNRS/Blaise Pascal University, Clermont-Ferrand, France). Since 2011, he has been a Professor with the Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China. His current research interests include multi-robot, robotic control.

He won the Second Prize of National Natural Science Awards in 2014, First Prize of Technological Invention of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology in 2020, First Prize of Natural Science Award of the Ministry of Education in 2013.

He is Member of Technical Committee on Control Theory and serves as secretary-general of Multi-Agent Cooperative Control Group of TCCT. He is the Associate Editors-in-Chief of Control Theory & Applications, Editorial Board Member of Unmanned Systems, Journal of Systems Science and Mathematical Sciences.

Dr. Zhi Gao

Dr. Zhi Gao is currently working as a Full Professor, Doctoral Supervisor at the School of Remote Sensing and Information Engineering, Wuhan University. He received the prestigious "national plan for young talents" award and Hubei Province Funds for Distinguished Young Scientists. In addition, he is also a "Chutian Scholar" distinguished Professor in Hubei Province. In the past 11 years, Dr. Gao has worked as a postdoctoral fellow, research scientist and independent PI at the National University of Singapore. In terms of scientific research projects, Dr. Gao was responsible for 5 Singapore national projects and 1 international cooperative project. As the sub-team leader, he participated in 5 Singapore national projects and 1 international cooperative project, and obtained 1 intellectual property transfer (70% share). He participated in a number of China Natural Science Foundation and 973 projects during his master's and doctor's degrees. In terms of academic papers, Dr. Gao have published more than 90 academic papers, including 35 SCI papers, which have been published in IJCV, IEEE PAMI, ISPRS JPRS, IEEE TGRS, IEEE ITS and other top journals.

Dr. Alan Lam

Dr. Lam is the co-founder of Sengital Limited and worked in Sengital as CEO from April, 2011 and CTO from 2004-2011. Sengital is a R&D company to provide one-stop-shop product development and manufacturing service for consumer electronics, video games accessories and game development, medical & healthcare product, software and IT solution. Sengital joined HKSTP incubation program and moved in Science Park in Sept 2004, On the other hand, Sengital has been granted the Innovation and Technology Fund (SERAP) from ITC, Hong Kong Government in April 2005 and joined the Design Alliance Program of Freescale Semiconductor Inc. Then, Sengital graduated the HKSTP Incubation program in 2007 and now is the tenant in Science Park. Sengital's work is recognized and by public and industry. Dr. Lam and Mr. Joe Wong won 2nd runner-up of My favourite Inventions for Quality Living Competition 2005, Sengital won Bronze Price of HKICT Awards 2006 and 2007 - Wireless Technology, 2007 HK Awards for Industries - Technological Achievement Certificate of Merit, Silver Award of HKICT Awards 2011 and Certificate of Merit of HKICT Awards 2011 (Best LBS application). Sengital was reported by 50 more newspaper articles, radio and media. Dr. Alan represented Sengital to present in talks and seminars to public. Currently, Sengital is the corporate member of Hong Kong Medical and Healthcare Device Industries Association; Tenant of Hong Kong Science Park and associate member of ZigBee Alliance. With the effort of Dr. Lam's team, Sengital is the leader in motion sensing, wireless network and embedded system.

Dr. Feng Lin

Feng Lin received the B.Eng. degree in Computer Science and Control, and the M.Eng. degree in system engineering from the Beihang University, Beijing, China, in 2000 and 2003, respectively. He received the Ph.D. degree in Computer & Electrical Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 2011. He was the recipient of the Best Application Paper Award, 8th World Congress on Intelligent Control and Automation, Jinan, China (2010).

Dr. Lin has worked as a Senior Research Scientist at the Temasek Laboratories @ NUS, and a Research Assistant Professor of Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore from 2011 to 2019.

Dr. Lin is currently working as an Associate Research Scientist at Peng Cheng Laboratory and a Chief Technology Officer of Shenzhen MicroHiggs Technologies since 2019. His main research interests are unmanned aerial vehicles, vision-aided control and navigation, target tracking, robot vision as well as embedded vision systems. He has served on the editorial board for Unmanned Systems.

Dr. Shupeng Lai

Dr. Shupeng Lai is currently a senior research scientist at MicroHiggs Technologies, he also serves as an adjunct assistant professor at the National University of Singapore. He works on multiple projects including motion planning, control, and navigation of robotic systems. He receives his Bachelor of Engineering from the Nanyang Technological University in 2012 and his Ph.D. from the National University of Singapore in 2016. His research interests include motion planning, non-linear model predictive control, multi-agent systems, and aerial-systems.

Dr. Zhihong Peng

Dr. Zhihong Peng received her Ph.D. degree in Control Science and Engineering from the Central South University, Changsha, China, in 2000. She held the Post-Doctoral appointment at the Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), Beijing, China. Since 2012, she has been a Professor with the Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China. Her current research interests include multi-agent cooperation, optimization and decision, intelligent information processing. Dr. Peng has been and is currently in charge of or participates in some key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and national key research and development projects. She was the recipient of several prizes in National Science and Technology of China. She has been a visiting research fellow in the University of Essex, from December 2012 to May 2013.

Dr. Qinyuan Ren

Dr. Qinyuan Ren received his Ph.D. degree in Control Science and Engineering from Zhejiang University in 2008. Later, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of National University of Singapore to study the navigation and control of underwater unmanned intelligent system. Since July 2015, he has been a robotics research scientist at the Information Research Institute of the Singapore Science and Technology Research Agency. He joined Zhejiang University as an associate professor in October 2016. Dr. Ren is currently in charge of a number of robotics related research projects, including the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Science and Technology Innovation 2030 "New Generation artificial Intelligence Major Project" and national key research and development projects. He is also a member of the editorial board of two international authoritative academic journals. Dr. Ren is a Senior Member of IEEE, specializing in neural robotics, bionic intelligence, agent coordination and cooperative control, soft robotics and neurodynamics.

Dr. Biao Wang

Dr. Biao Wang has received the B.S. degree in Aero-engine Control, the M.S. degree in Aero-engine, and the Ph.D. degree in Guidance, Navigation and Control from the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA), Nanjing, China, in 1997, 2000, and 2004, respectively.

Dr. Wang is currently working as an Associate Professor in the College of Automation Engineering at NUAA. His main research interests relate to unmanned aircraft systems, especially visual guidance and flight control, the applications of Active Disturbance Rejection Control (ADRC) and Model Predictive Control (MPC) as well as visual target detection, tracking, and pose estimation, etc. to autonomous landing and other guidance tasks. He was the recipient of several prizes in Defense Science and Technology from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China. He has been serving on the editorial board for Unmanned Systems.

He has been a visiting research fellow in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the National University of Singapore, from November 2009 to February 2012. He has also been a visiting research assistant in the Department of Automation & Computer-Aided Engineering, Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2001.

Dr. Lele Xi

Lele Xi received his B.E. in Automation and M.E. in Automation Engineering from Hebei University of Science and Technology, China in 2014 and 2017, respectively and Ph.D. degress in Control Science and Engineering from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2022. He is currently a lecturer at Hebei University of Science and Technology. He worked as a Research Assistant in the Unmanned Systems Research Group, Department of Mechanical and Automation, the Chinese University of Hong Kong from Nov. 2018 to Nov. 2019 and from Apr. 2020 to Apr. 2021. His current research interests include Motion Planning, Target Tracking, and Reinforcement Learning, specifically in the area of aerial robotics.

He won the Championship in China Aeromodelling Design Challenge in Jingmen, Hubei, China, in 2012, and the Third Prize of the 13th Challenge Cup in 2013, and the Second Prize in the International UAV Innovation Grand Prix, Anji, Zhejiang, China, in 2015, and the national scholarship for graduate student in 2016.
