Control engineering is the foundation of
automation industry. We apply control in our daily life from driving a
car to operating a washing machine. The area of control is challenging
and rewarding as we are moving toward autonomous underwater, land, air
and space vehicles, highly automated manufacturing; intelligent
robots; highly efficient voice and data networks; and highly efficient
fuel control for a cleaner environment.
The Applied Control and Computing Laboratory
(ACCL) was established at Dept. of Automation and Computer-Aided
Engineering, The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1998. It is
directed by Prof. Jie Huang.
