Dr. Youfeng Su has received the 2012 CUHK Young Scholars Dissertation Award.
His PhD dissertation is titled Consensus and Cooperative Output Regulation of Linear Multi-agent Systems.
He was a PhD student with MAE department between August 2008 and February 2012 under the supervision of Prof. Jie Huang

Professor Shih-Chi Chen received the Best Paper Award in the 2013 International Symposium on Optomechatronic Technologies
The research paper "Multi-depth real-time confocal imaging" by Dapeng Zhang, Jiyi Cheng, and Professor Shih-Chi Chen received the Best Paper Award in the 2013 International Symposium on Optomechatronic Technologies (ISOT) among 100+ papers.
Prof. Zhang Li received The Living Machines 2013 Best Paper Award
The research paper "Bacteria-Inspired Magnetic Polymer Composite Microrobots" by K. Peyer, E. Siringil, Prof. L. Zhang, Dr. M. Suter, Prof. B. Nelson received the Living Machines Award for Best Paper of The 2nd International Conference on Biomimetics and Biohybrid Systems (Living Machines 2013).
Prof. Zhang Li Innovates Magnetic Microrobots for Cells and Drugs Delivery in Human Body with Overseas Research Teams
Professor Zhang, in collaboration with Prof. Hongsoo Choi's group from DGIST, Korea, and Prof. Bradley Nelson's group from ETH Zurich, Switzerland, has innovated the new magnetically manipulated microrobot capable of transporting appropriate amount of cells and therapeutic drugs for biomedical applications. The article is featured on the Materials View website, CUHK Press Releases , and other media. It will also be featured as a cover article in Advanced Materials in a forthcoming issue.
"CU50 - The People" video series available online - Charles K. Kao
In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the university, "CU50 - The People" video series is launched to feature generations of CUHK people who have shaped the University into what it has become today; the trailblazers, those who have served the community determinedly, those who have lived up to the humanistic spirit of CUHK and those whose characteristics signify the anniversary theme "Embrace our Culture; Empower our Future".
For his study on fibre optics application in communication, Professor Kao was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physics in 2009. However, instead of applying for a patent, he shared the technology with the public to benefit the world.
The directions that he laid down for the Faculty of Engineering 20 years ago still go well with the development of the university, and in accordance with Hong Kong's overall development.
